José Luis holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade (EPHEC), a Master´s degree in Economics and Social Policy (Université Mons) and he completed an Executive Management Program at the IESE Business School in Madrid. He has 20 years of experience in the financial sector acquired with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA). He served first as CFO and then as Managing Director of BBVA LuxInvest S.A (Luxembourg) and Scaldis Finance S.A. (Belgium) (2002 – 2018). He sat as well as Board member of the BBVA’s mutual funds in Luxembourg (UCITS and AIF) and in several banks in the Privanza network within the BBVA group, reporting to both BBVA Asset Management business line and BBVA Accounting and Supervisors department (2006-2018).
As an INSEAD IDP-C and ILA Certified Director (2019), José Luis currently sits on the Board of private equity funds in Luxembourg. He is also the vice-chairman of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg.
