Remuneration of Non-Executive Directors : Survey

The Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA) and KPMG Luxembourg will renew their collaboration to conduct the 3rd edition of the Non-Executive Directors’ remuneration survey. 

Given the vital role of Non-Executive Directors in maximizing board effectiveness and ensuring good governance in Luxembourg-incorporated companies, the remuneration conditions of Non-Executive Directors remain at the center of many discussions. 

The variety and the heterogeneity of responsibilities and contributions of Non-Executive Directors within boards of directors and specialized committees of the boards incur in turn a great heterogeneity in remuneration programs and conditions.   

In this context, ILA and KPMG Luxembourg are about to launch the 3rd edition of the Non-Executive Directors’ remuneration survey, with the purpose of helping both Non-Executive Directors and Luxembourg-incorporated companies identify, analyze and benchmark Non-Executive Directors’ remuneration conditions. 

Similarly to the last edition in 2016, the survey will compile information on remuneration conditions provided, on the one hand, by financial, industrial and commercial companies that are benefiting from the services of Non-Executive Directors and, on the other hand, by the Non-Executive Directors themselves. In addition, this year, a focus will also be made on the remuneration of Non-Executive Directors active with start-ups.
