ILA joins "My Pledge"
Dear Member,
We are delighted to inform you that ILA has joined “My Pledge”, an initiative from Equilibre that seeks greater diversity at public events. This move is in line with the recent #NoWomenNoPanel initiative.
Through this commitment, ILA commits to working towards gender diversity at every ILA event. We will also ask event organisers where ILA is represented about their efforts to achieve gender diversity.
This initiative complements ILA’s other work promoting increased diversity at board level:
ILA will launch this year the first Aspiring Director Programme, a 5-day training session that will prepare high-potential candidates for future board roles. This programme was developed with INSEAD Business School. It will increase the pipeline of board-ready candidates by coaching and encouraging diverse profiles to reach the required level. Broad diversity will be encouraged, including in terms of gender, age, expertise, background, experience and more.
A mentoring programme is being developed to accompany these aspiring directors through the process of securing their first mandate.
ILA is part of a working group organised by the Ministry of Equality that promotes gender equality in economic, political and professional decision-making, in both the private and public sectors.
ILA encourages the chairs of its working committees to follow this example, ensuring diversity among committee members and on the panels at the events they organise.
Best regards,
The ILA Management Committee
